Angel 2

Star of the show, operated by charity, Islington Narrowboat Assc.(INBA) Full length residential and day trips catered for all year. The boat has a capacity of 12 passengers with special rates for community groups. At the show this boat is used for our VIP guests to take a break.

Bantam tug

Bantam Tug is owned and maintained by charity, the London Canal Museum. Such tugs would have been used for pushing or towing non powered butty boats.

Jenny Wren will be operating trips to the museum, they also have as stall selling canalware and other things.

Beauchamp

A very unusal wide modern craft operated by charity,  Beauchamp Lodge settlement. She is a special boat designed specifically to carry a class of children (max 60 passengers). There are many onboard facillities centred around education and has full disabled access and plasma screen! The boat is also available for private hire from her base near Paddington.

Helix (SPCC)

Operated by Alex and Jenny operated under the name of London Canal Cruises. Alex and Jenny provide special meal and day trip (a very personal trip) on the canal which is idealy suited to small groups of 2-4 persons, although potentially could carry up to 10 passengers. At the show she will be doing various things like sailing the brass band up and down in the festival site.

Jenny Wren

Jenny Wren is a comercial boat operated by Walker's Quay from Walker's Quay in Camden. She has been running passenger trips from Camden to Little Venice since 1968 and can accomodate up to 72 passengers. She is available as a scheduled trip or private bookings. At the show Jenny Wren will be making passenger trips through Islington tunnel to the London Canal Museum.

Lady Mildmay

Operated by charity, Laburnum Boat Club, Hackney. This boat is the only Regents Canal based narrowboat especially suitable to wheelchair access. The boat is for day trips only of up to 12 passengers. At the show this boat is used for public boat rides around the festival site.

Pirate Princess

Operated by charity, The Pirate Club, Camden. She was built 1982 by apprentices at Swan Hunter yard, Newcastle and was named by HRH Prince Charles. She is fitted out to carry 12 passengers on residential and day trips. At the show she will be open for public viewing.

Pirate Viscount

Operated by charity, The Pirate Club, she was used as a business guest boat for several years until 1995 she came to the club and renamed after the club founder Viscount St Davids. She is full length and can carry up to 12 passengers. She is open plan design and normally used on day trips only, although in emergencies matresses can be laid down for sleeping. At the show she will be open for public viewing. It is well worth visting both Pirate boats and Tarporley, although similar dimensions outwardly all the boats are very different on the inside.

Tarporley

Tarporley is operated by charity, Camden Canals & Narrowboat Assc. (CCNA). She is the oldest community boat based on the Regents Canal. She was built as a 'Northwich Large Town Class' goods carrying boat in 1937. In 1972 Camden Council had her converted to carry up to 12 passengers on residential or day trips. Ownership passed to CCNA in 2001, she continues her work run entirely by volunteers. During the show there will be free access to look around her, a raffle draw for a free day trip and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions or even recruit new volunteers. Also selling tickets for their special halloween event staged with other boats from the London Canal Museum.
