Now in its second year, Berkeley Homes (North East London) Ltd are delighted to be the Admiral Sponsor of this year’s Angel Canal Festival.
Founded in 1976, the Berkeley Group is one of the UK’s leading housebuilders dedicated to building exceptional places for people to live. The core values that underpin Berkeley remain unchanged from its early days, we create beautiful, successful places ensuring we make a lasting contribution to the landscape and to the communities we to help create.
Designed by world-renowned architects, Foster + Partners, 250 City Road will become a new hub for community living. Set between Angel and Old Street Roundabout, the iconic 42 storey tower offers a selection of studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses with world class facilities. Vibrant new cafes and restaurants will surround the one acre WiFi connected green spaces complete with public art making 250 City Road a new destination to live, work and enjoy.
As entry to the festival is FREE we rely on funding and gifts-in-kind from many sources including;
Berkeley Group, AJ Morrisroe + Sons, Groveworld, Islington Council’s Community Chest in partnership with the Cripplegate Foundation, Pollard Thomas Edwards, The Morris Charitable Trust, Canal & River Trust, London Canal Museum, Gratte Brothers and many departments of Islington Council
We also have excellent support from the Canal & River Trust, the London Canal Museum, the Inland Waterway Association, St Pancras Cruising Club & many departments of Islington Council.
Our aim is to produce an enjoyable day-long Festival celebrating the Regents Canal around the City Road Lock and Basin area promoting the canal as an historic, local, community, environmental and leisure asset for all to enjoy.
